We are expanding our Renewable Energy Division within our Home Installation business and have an exceptional opportunity for fully qualified Electricians to join a fast growing and successful company.
Our range of products include Commercial Installations, Domestic Installations, Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Chargers.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, solar pv systems and ev chargers in residential and commercial settings.
We have a dedicated core staff based at our head office in Livingston and we cover the whole of Scotland. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, benefits and company van.

Requirements of the Electricians Role:
- Provide an efficient and reliable electrical service, ensuring compliance with IEE wiring regulations, Health and Safety legislation and internal processes and procedures.
- Carry out installation of Solar PV Systems and EV Chargers in line with all company procedures and MCS requirements
- Surveying properties to complete pre installation site audit
- Working with and liaising with project team and senior management
- Delivering and maintaining quality standards of delivery and satisfaction
- Working with roofer to agree where panels are to be located on the roof and offer advice where required.
- Fully commission solar system and complete commissioning documentation.
- Carry out electrical work in domestic and commercial properties.
- Have a full, clean driving licence.
- Work as part of a team and/or on you own as required with a positive attitude.
- All candidates must be 18th Edition qualified and preferably hold a valid ECS electrician gold card

Experience: & Qualifications:

- Experience in carrying out testing and inspection, reactive maintenance works and installation works.

Requirements of the Electrical Labourer’s Role:
- Undertake electrical tasks within repairs, maintenance operations, void properties, including electrical repairs, upgrades and partial/full rewires.
- When directed by your Manager/Qualified Supervisor or as a standing arrangement, you may be directed towards undertaking planned maintenance works predominantly involving kitchen and bathroom replacements and upgrades.
- From time to time to undertake diagnostic and pre-measuring/survey work in order to ascertain the nature of any repair, rewire or upgrade necessary on a property.
- To carry out all work and activities in a safe and responsible manner, paying particular regard to standards of cleanliness and tidiness, control to minimize noise and dust levels and to fully comply with current Health and Safety at work regulations/ method statements, showing the necessary duty of care to oneself and others, as well as adhering to current BS7671 standards under supervision.
- To provide assistance and support as and when required to other operatives and staff carrying out their duties.
- To carry out the following:
- Preparing wall surfaces to install new cable e.g. chasing out walls.
- Carry out general labouring duties, for example breaking out and dismantling, e.g. of brickwork, plaster etc.
- Removal of spoil from chasing out walls etc.
- General tasks, such as all aspects required for 1st and 2nd fix of an electrical installation.
- Assisting the Electrical team in the installation/modification of electrical tasks as far as electrical regulations allow.
- Run/install a variety of cabling and containment as required.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as required to support the needs of the team.
- Provide support and assistance to colleagues within the team through training, coaching and leading by example.
- To report through the line management any work not within their own competency.
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are consistent with the concept of the role.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our Project Management team.
The role covers Scotland. You will be based at our headquarters in Livingston with travel within Scotland.
You will oversee the delivery of electrical contracts and will offer technical support and guidance to all stakeholders including our customers and team.
Main duties:
- You will be responsible for the effectiveness of the overall contract, ensuring all KPI’s and goals are met.
- To supervise the effective day to day management of the contract
- To develop a strong collaborative working relationship with engineers to promote excellent customer service.
- Maintain the sales margin and maximise any opportunities to grow the sales and margin figures
- Preparation of technical and contract documentation
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments
- Resolving installation and access issues
- Attend customer site visits and meetings as appropriate
- Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging
- Liaising and coordinating with clients, design team and contractors on technical and commercial issues.
- Analyse and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner
- Ensuring handover documentation is presented in a specific format and timelines
- Communicating project progress to key stakeholders, such as the client, sub-contractors, engineers
The skills and experience you will need to succeed in the role:
- HNC level qualification or similar in electrical engineering, or
- Relevant trade qualification in the Electrical Industry
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence in costing works and organising resources required to complete works
- Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, customers and clients
- A good level of technical awareness and understanding of the electricity services
- Ability to read and understand electrical and building service drawings
- Good computer skills, in common office applications, such as MS word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation
- Competent level of English for written and spoken communication
- Full UK driving licence – essential

Solar Installation with battery. Kingsway were excellent and I would highly recommend them if you are thinking about solar panels. The whole process was simple right from the initial appointment. Everything was explained at a simple level so I could understand. During the installation, all team members were pleasant and considerate. Contacted Kingsway as our 7 year old solar panels stopped working after heavy rain in Nov/Dec. Pete visited to discuss problem and organise a team to investigate. Team arrived on time and each member introduced himself before work commenced, which greatly impressed me, I have to say. Fault soon identified and swiftly rectified. One panel had been damaged by local wildlife gaining access and nibbling a cable underneath, despite having protective mesh. Took a couple of visits and new, more secure mesh fitted. Great job guys and many thanks.
Excellent experience from quote to completion.During the initial visit to discuss products and assess where they would be located, all of the implications were discussed to ensure we understood and were happy with the options available to us.Once we chose Kingsway, on the day the installation took place, the team explained what they would be doing and made sure we were happy with location of cabling and the various pieces of equipment.Once installation completed, the system was tested fully with us as well as an overview of operating instructions. Really respected our property and were clean and tidy throughout.Follow up emails received promptly with all necessary completion certificates and user manuals.Highly professional and would not hesitate to recommend.

All of the equipment offered is CE marked and has been designed and tested to International Standards.There are other companies who can provide technically superior systems but offered at uncompetitive prices in our opinion.The installation team consisting of salaried employees worked diligently to complete the work and the follow up communications to iron out wrinkles were top class.

As an MCS registered installer Kingsway where able to advise me on the process involved and was happy for me to use the HES process.I had several quotes that all came in at a similar price but Peter used a more personalised process for obtaining a quote that let me ask questions and tailor the quote to my specific needs. Also for all the quotes i received Kingsway where the only ones to break down additional options clearly like bird netting and extended warranties so the pricing was very clear.The Install itself was carried out by 4 of Peter's team along with contracted roofers and scaffolding firm. All the tradesmen involved where polite, tidy and happy to answer questions and listen to my specific requirements.The system itself is working great and i'm very happy with the end result. Kingsway recently installed 18 PV solar panels, x3 5.2kw batteries and a 5kw inverter and I would highly recommend the company. All work was completed in 2 days to a high standard, with everything neatly finished. What was most impressive was the customer service, communications and explanations, first class at all times (not always the case with over trades we've used recently I'm afraid). As I say highly recommended.

Would definitely use Kingsway again. Very professional from quote to invoice. Very tidy work and talked me through the installation from start to finish - I used them for the car charger after they completed the electrical installation for a heat pump and installed solar panels.
Pete is great to deal with, he discussed different solutions for installing 12 ceiling inserted downlighter on two dimmer switches to replace a single pendant light in a large room. Once decided on the best option they provided a quote, completed the job as planned, were friendly to have around and left things looking neat and tidy. Have used several times for a variety of jobs and would highly recommend.
