We are expanding our Renewable Energy Division within our Home Installation business and have an exceptional opportunity for fully qualified Electricians to join a fast growing and successful company.
Our range of products include Commercial Installations, Domestic Installations, Solar PV, Battery Storage and EV Chargers.
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, solar pv systems and ev chargers in residential and commercial settings.
We have a dedicated core staff based at our head office in Livingston and we cover the whole of Scotland. This is a full-time position with competitive pay, benefits and company van.

Requirements of the Electricians Role:
- Provide an efficient and reliable electrical service, ensuring compliance with IEE wiring regulations, Health and Safety legislation and internal processes and procedures.
- Carry out installation of Solar PV Systems and EV Chargers in line with all company procedures and MCS requirements
- Surveying properties to complete pre installation site audit
- Working with and liaising with project team and senior management
- Delivering and maintaining quality standards of delivery and satisfaction
- Working with roofer to agree where panels are to be located on the roof and offer advice where required.
- Fully commission solar system and complete commissioning documentation.
- Carry out electrical work in domestic and commercial properties.
- Have a full, clean driving licence.
- Work as part of a team and/or on you own as required with a positive attitude.
- All candidates must be 18th Edition qualified and preferably hold a valid ECS electrician gold card

Job Location:
- We are based in Livingston and cover the whole of Scotland.
Hours and Remuneration:
- Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm, the role is based from our office in Livingston with travel to sites within Scotland
- Overtime available
- 33 days holiday per annum with company shutdown over Christmas and New Year period
- Salary £31,000+ pa, depending on qualifications and experience

Experience: & Qualifications:
- Required: City and Guilds 2382-10 (18th Edition I.E.E wiring Regulations or equivalent)
- Preferable: City and Guilds 2330-07 Level 3 (Electrical Installations) or alternative evidence of electrical skills set qualifications
- Experience in carrying out testing and inspection, reactive maintenance works and installation works.
- Experience in solar pv and ev charger installations.
- Experience of working with the general public.
- A good understanding of risk assessment, COSHH and general Health and Safety responsibilities
- Physically fit to be able to carry out all the duties required for the role.

As an Electrical Labourer, you will be responsible for helping our qualified Electrician’s installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, solar pv systems and ev chargers in residential and commercial settings.

Requirements of the Electrical Labourer’s Role:
- Undertake electrical tasks within repairs, maintenance operations, void properties, including electrical repairs, upgrades and partial/full rewires.
- When directed by your Manager/Qualified Supervisor or as a standing arrangement, you may be directed towards undertaking planned maintenance works predominantly involving kitchen and bathroom replacements and upgrades.
- From time to time to undertake diagnostic and pre-measuring/survey work in order to ascertain the nature of any repair, rewire or upgrade necessary on a property.
- To carry out all work and activities in a safe and responsible manner, paying particular regard to standards of cleanliness and tidiness, control to minimize noise and dust levels and to fully comply with current Health and Safety at work regulations/ method statements, showing the necessary duty of care to oneself and others, as well as adhering to current BS7671 standards under supervision.
- To provide assistance and support as and when required to other operatives and staff carrying out their duties.
- To carry out the following:
- Preparing wall surfaces to install new cable e.g. chasing out walls.
- Carry out general labouring duties, for example breaking out and dismantling, e.g. of brickwork, plaster etc.
- Removal of spoil from chasing out walls etc.
- General tasks, such as all aspects required for 1st and 2nd fix of an electrical installation.
- Assisting the Electrical team in the installation/modification of electrical tasks as far as electrical regulations allow.
- Run/install a variety of cabling and containment as required.
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties as required to support the needs of the team.
- Provide support and assistance to colleagues within the team through training, coaching and leading by example.
- To report through the line management any work not within their own competency.
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are consistent with the concept of the role.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Contracts Manager to join our Project Management team.
The role covers Scotland. You will be based at our headquarters in Livingston with travel within Scotland.
You will oversee the delivery of electrical contracts and will offer technical support and guidance to all stakeholders including our customers and team.
Main duties:
- You will be responsible for the effectiveness of the overall contract, ensuring all KPI’s and goals are met.
- To supervise the effective day to day management of the contract
- To develop a strong collaborative working relationship with engineers to promote excellent customer service.
- Maintain the sales margin and maximise any opportunities to grow the sales and margin figures
- Preparation of technical and contract documentation
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments
- Resolving installation and access issues
- Attend customer site visits and meetings as appropriate
- Carrying out Quality Control through inspections and snagging
- Liaising and coordinating with clients, design team and contractors on technical and commercial issues.
- Analyse and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner
- Ensuring handover documentation is presented in a specific format and timelines
- Communicating project progress to key stakeholders, such as the client, sub-contractors, engineers
The skills and experience you will need to succeed in the role:
- HNC level qualification or similar in electrical engineering, or
- Relevant trade qualification in the Electrical Industry
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with the minimum of supervision and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence in costing works and organising resources required to complete works
- Ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, customers and clients
- A good level of technical awareness and understanding of the electricity services
- Ability to read and understand electrical and building service drawings
- Good computer skills, in common office applications, such as MS word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation
- Competent level of English for written and spoken communication
- Full UK driving licence – essential
